Sensory Fruit Tasting

The Horses took part in a sensory fruit tasting experience. A selection of different fruits were provided for the children that they do not eat often. The children looked at each piece of fruit and cut it open investigating the inside of the fruit. Children smelt the fruit and talked about what they could smell. Describing the smell of the fruit as sweet, fruity, fresh. Everyone made predictions about what the fruit might taste like before trying each fruit. Children vote don what fruits they liked and which fruits they did not like. Making comparisons with their peers and opening a dialogue about healthy eating.
