Fantasy and Fiction – Unicorns and Fairies

This week the Preschool group enjoyed linking their activities to the familiar book by the author Julia Donaldson Sugarlump and The Unicorn linking to the current curriculum topic. The children enjoyed a story reading session with a key focus discussion around the story, characters and the settings. The children extended their interest around the unicorns by making their own Unicorn frozen yoghurt cubes. The children followed the recipe and instructions commenting and experimenting with the coloured layers predicting what would happen to the cubes when they were added to the freezer.
