Car wash (1)

This week in the toddler room we started our first topic of the year, Transport. To do this we created our very own car wash tuft tray. We put our cars and vehicles in lots of different textures like gloopy corn flour, coloured foam and flour to get them nice and dirty. We then tried and tested a variety of resources to help get our cars clean. We tested the effects of sponges, rollers cloths and toothbrushes. This gave us the opportunity to make our own choices and test our own theories. We had a large bucket of water in the middle of the tray and used it to help with our cleaning. We really like using the toothbrushes to clean the wheels of our vehicles and squeezing the cloths and watch all the water come out. We worked really hard together to clean all of our vehicles. To extend this activity we took some buckets and sponges outside and washed Lisa’s car. We all were very proud of ourselves while we were cleaning the car. We liked watching the water drops on the car and creating patterns with our droplets. Well done toddlers what great team work!
