Visit from Paramedic - Enhancing Parent Partnerships

A massive thank you to Freya’s daddy for coming in today to speak to the Ponies about his job as a paramedic. He spoke to the children about his ambulance and how we should call 999 if we are in trouble and need help. He showed them all of the items in his kit, including a stethoscope, bandages, a siren light and different tools.

The children had a wonderful time exploring all of the different tools, checking each others health and enjoying role playing with each other. They also enjoyed listening to their heartbeats, and jumped up and down to see whether it made their heartbeat faster or slower.

They then listened to a story about Paramedic Chris, Holly and Zara. They showed amazing listening skills to a longer story and even remembered who they should call if they need help, all saying “999!”

Thank you Freya’s daddy and well done Ponies!
