To kick off Sun Awareness Week, the Ponies have been learning about the importance of sun cream and protecting our skin from the sun.

They used shaving foam as suncream and put suncream on babies. They observed how the suncream covered the skin, they looked at areas they may have missed and how easy it was to spread the suncream. We also spoke about what may happen to our skin in the sun if we do not protect our skin.

After the babies were covered, they enjoyed washing them and drying them. This allowed them to reset the activity so that different children could enjoy putting suncream on the babies.
