Today some of the Ponies used mirrors and paint pens to draw their own self portraits. They examined the features if their face in a mirror before drawing what they could see, they paid close attention to where their features go and what expression they felt. They also kept checking back with the mirror throughout the process, choosing the correct colours. We spoke about our differences and how each person is unique, and even enjoyed reading the story “Our Skin” afterwards which taught the Ponies about melanin and how the colour of our skin can’t teach us about what a person is like.
