With the warmer weather this week, the children in the horses group dedicated some time to our gardening area. We talked about the various plants and trees we currently have and explored ideas for future planting. Today, the children planted sunflowers. They filled the pots halfway, added the seeds, and covered them with more soil. We used different-sized pots to observe how the plants grow in each. Over the next few weeks, the children will care for these plants and record their growth, allowing them to test their theory that the seed in the largest pot will grow the tallest. It's a great learning opportunity for them to engage with nature.
