The Horses have been looking at fruit plants. The children worked to plant raspberry and blueberry plants in the garden. The children talked about heat the plants need first and decided they needed to be planted in soil and needed sunlight and water. The children used gardening tools to plant the plants in the pots scooping soil from the pack to the pots and then used watering cans to water the plants. 

The children then took a trip to the local shops to see the various blueberries and raspberries. The children purchased some of each and took them back to nursery to explore and dissect. The children looked at the fruits and tasted them, feeding back to Shannon their thoughts and opinions.
