As part of our travel and transport theme the Ponies went on a trip to the petrol station. They found lots of different colour cars and noticed there were lots of white cars. The children used a tally chart to mark how many different coloured cars they saw. They also talked about the different vehicles they could see such as motorcycles, cars, vans, trucks and buses. They marked these on a tally chart looking at how to add data to a chart. Whilst doing some car spotting the children saw a motorcycle being towed by a yellow AA van. On the way back to the nursery they even saw a big red tractor and he waved to them.
