The Ponies took part in a car distance measuring activity.
They pushed cars down the ramp to see how far they travelled.
Positioning the ramps at different levels to make comparisons.
Once the cars had finished travelling the children used tape measures to measure how far the cars went.
Comparing this with different sized cars through trial and error.
The children recorded the findings and noticed that the higher ramps made the car move faster.
The car with the big wheels travelled the furthest.
An excellent early mathematics activity.
