The Horses have been reading stories about light and dark as part of our monthly theme. To support this the children made up their own stories about light and dark and started to re-tell them. They helped the team to create a puppet theatre using cardboard boxes. The children assembled the puppet theatre using hot glue guns as they constructed and managed the risk. 

When the theatre was complete the children worked in small groups to tell their stories. They used their hands as puppets and explored the light shadows this created as peers shone torches down. The children created their own narrative and adapted familiar stories they had read recently. The rest of the children listened intently.
