The children have been observing and exploring the life cycle of a chick. 

The eggs arrived and we discussed why they must stay in a incubator and the beginning process of the cycle. The children used books and technology such as ipads and computers to research why the beginning process was important and what they needed to do once the eggs began to crack and hatch. The children were super excited once the chicks began hatching and they held a voting session to vote for names of the chicks. 

The children observed the chicks and were able to handle them. Well done Ponies and Horses for being so careful and caring for the chicks so well.
