This morning some of the Ponies have been exploring our hedgehog making table using pasta, conkers, acorns and play dough. They used their fine motor skills to manipulate the play dough, creating rounded shapes for the body before gently pushing in lots of pasta to create the “spikes”. They carefully inspected mini figurines of hedgehogs and used ICT to look at photos of hedgehogs on the iPad to look closely at hedgehogs faces, using other autumnal materials such as acorns and conkers to recreate them.
