Garage Role Play

This week, we transformed the home corner into a garage, where the Horses had a fantastic time exploring various tools and learning about the repair process. Some of our little ones took on the roles of mechanics, while others played in the office side of the garage.

To build on their interest, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to look under the bonnet of a real car! The Horses discovered how to check the oil, activate different buttons, where to fill the water, and how to refuel with diesel or petrol. During this activity, we also talked about pollution and how cars affect the environment.

The children enjoyed watching a short video showing the inner workings of a garage, which illustrated how real mechanics fix cars. Beth demonstrated with some toy vehicles how a mechanic might go underneath a car for repairs or open the bonnet for a closer inspection. It's been an engaging week filled with learning and exploration!
