This week in the Ponies group, the children have been having a blast exploring space to mark the landing of the first person on the moon. We got creative by crafting our very own rockets and tried our hand at origami to make them for our science activity. We practised counting down from 10 together and chatted about how counting down means taking one away before shouting "BLASTOFF!!" and sending our rockets flying towards the moon. After our exciting experiment, the children shared their thoughts on why our rockets didn't quite make it to the moon. Some mentioned the strong wind, while others noticed it was daytime and the moon wasn't visible. Great discoveries all around!
