The Horses made hot cross buns for Easter. The children followed instructions to make hot cross buns as they carefully followed the steps in a recipe. The children looked closely at the weight and quantity of items needed and Shannon helped them to measure this. Children made comparisons to the numbers displayed in the recipe and the numbers on the digital scales. Working hard to explore mathematical skill and wight and capacity. When the mixture was ready the children helped knead the dough to make the buns, using physical skill to knead and roll. Once the buns were on the tray the children waited patiently for them to cook and ate them for tea!
