The children have access to a working kitchen in the pre-school to allow them to use real cooking tools and equipment such as hot plates, mini oven’s, juicers, blenders bread makers and soup makers to allow them to see the whole process of cooking.

Children learn life skills as they operate the equipment with the support of our trained practitioners and nursery chef.

Children learn to manage risk as they use the equipment safely and sensibly setting them up for skills they will need later in life.

The children support our nursery chef Iris to make meals for the daily menu which brings the children pride to help cook what they eat.
