Sunflower Art
The Butterflies have been exploring sunflowers. They went on a trip to the local shops to purchase sunflowers, browsing the various flowers and deciding to explore the sunflowers. On return to nursery the children designed their own interpretations of the sunflowers, using the sunflowers as objects of reference. Children made marks with the paint on paper attempting to form recognisable parts of the flowers and giving meaning to the marks they made on the paper. Exploring the creativity process and focusing on the process rather than the finished product.
