Today, the children had a lovely time making candles to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year☺️
We talked about being safe with hot objects. The children were excited to make a candle for someone special they were interested in why wax hardens without heat and how to light the wick. They used their fine motor skills to mix the wax to make sure it’s all melted, they then put their wick into the holder and poured the hot wax into the mould with a little bit of help to keep safe! ☺️
