The children took part in various activities in order for Remembrance Day, they read stories and learnt about the poppy flower. The ladybirds used red and black paint and used their hands to decorate their poppies. The Ladybirds used their hands to make marks and explore, before placing them altogether to make their wreaths. The Butterflies children used a variety of tools to make their poppies. They used cotton buds and paintbrushes and paper plates to design their poppies. The Grasshopper children explored some risky play but using the child safety knives to cut the apples. Then then dipped their apples in paint and used the apples to make marks. When all of the wreaths were complete, the children went on a trip to the local Remembrance Day memorial to place their wreaths.
