This week the butterflies have been creating art work using recyclable materials.
Throughout the week the children helped collect bottle lids and foam sheets from packaging and decided to make their own stamps.
The children started off by selecting favourite colours to paint the bottle lids.
The Butterflies then used pencils and pens to draw shapes onto the foam sheets. Some children used objects to trace around and others did this freehand.
Next the children used scissors to carefully cut their shapes out, this involved lots of focus and attention as the children worked on their hand and eye co ordination.
The Butterflies then used glue to stick their foam shapes on to the bottle lids.
Once the stamps were complete the Butterflies were very excited to put their creations to the test, dipping them in paint and stamping them on the paper.
