Pumpkin Exploration
The Butterflies were exploring pumpkins for our Halloween celebrations. The children looked inside the pumpkins exploring the texture inside the pumpkin. They used a variety of different tools to scoop out the middle including tweezers, tongs, spoons and cups. The children used fine motor skills to handle the tools as they used skills that will support them with early writing skills as they strengthen hand muscles. The children talked about what they found inside the pumpkins and what might happen with the pumpkin seeds.
