The children in Grasshoppers have enjoyed sharing stories about themselves and their families and wanted to explore a variety of resources in order to create their own interpretations of each other. The children also had the chance to explore some risky play and used the safety knives! The children were given potatoes, pasta, cotton buds and pens are were able to explore and use their imagination. They were able to take turns and use the safety knives appropriately to cute their potatoes. They then used spaghetti, cotton buds and pens to design their potato people by using spaghetti for hair and arms, cotton buds for eyes and then using pens to draw facial features. Everybody enjoyed making their potato people and were very proud of their creations!
