Posting Letters to Santa
The Butterflies wrote some letters to Santa.
They used gross and fine motor skills to manipulate mark making tools to form marks on paper.
Some children chose a dominant hand.
Some children gave meaning to the marks they made.
Mark making tools were held in pincer and palmer grasps.
Then the children put their letters into envelopes.
They went to the post office to buy some stamps.
The children handed over the money and collected the stamps.
Then everyone posted their letters to Santa.
The children talked about where the letter is going to go.
And who is going to receive it.
We can't wait for our response.
