The Ladybirds went on a trip to the forest to collect pinecones. They searched the forest looking for pinecones and added the selected cones to a basket. On return to nursery the children used paint to decorate their pine cone. Children grasped the paint brushes in palmer grasp and used the paint to make marks on the pine cone. The children looked at the paint spread into the material and made marks by dapping the paint brushes and holding it in places using hand eye co-ordination.
