Pancake Day/Shrove Tuesday
We celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making our own pancakes.
We weighed out the ingredients looking at weight and capacity.
We mixed the ingredients together and talked about the change in consistency.
Then we watched as they were cooked on the hot plate.
We saw the whole process and how the ingredients changed.
We talked about the hot plate and created our own risk assessment and how we could manage the risk.
Then we ate them!
After we had a play dough pancake station role play where we explored from the first hand experience we had just gained!
