The Grasshopper room has started to explore their imagination by creating using a selection of loose parts.
Items are picked up using fine motor skills and grips that support early writing skills as they select objects to use.
The various items chosen were compared to their facial features.
The children looked in mirrors and selected loose parts they felt resembled a facial feature.
Hand eye co-ordination was used to dip glue sticks into glue and spread to enable the loose parts to stick.
Natural pieces were stuck down to resemble faces.
The children were very excited with their creations.
