The Grasshoppers have been busy this week being brilliant bakers! Firstly, they went off on an adventure to Waitrose and carefully selected various different ingredients from their shopping list. The children worked together as a team to carry the basket and carry different items. The children went to the self service and scanned the shopping and then used the money to pay for the items. The children then rolled out the pastry and carefully placed into the tin, they then used their fine motor skills to hold the spoon to scoop the filling into the pastry. The children then used a star cutter to finish off their pies. The children then packaged them up and ventured into the local community to spread some festive cheer as they gave the mince pies out to local businesses and residents.
