The ladybirds explored magic painting. They gripped paint brushes in palmer grasps and used the paint to make marks on the paper. The magic pen underneath revealed their names when the children painted over the pen marks. Introducing the children to the letters in their name at an early stage. The children made free marks using hand eye co-ordination to connect the paintbrush to the paper and gross motor skills to make movements with their arms to make dots, lines and circular movements on the paper. Allowing the children to express themselves creatively and focus on process over product.
