Life Cycle of a Caterpillar
The Butterflies were very excited when our delivery of caterpillars arrived in the post. They have been observing them over time and watching them grow. The team read the children a range of books about the life cycle of a caterpillar and the children learnt what would happen to the caterpillars over time. They supported Shannon to create their own caterpillars using playdough. Exploring their hand muscles as they moulded playdough into a range of shapes to create their own life cycles such as the egg, caterpillar, cocoon and then the beautiful butterfly.
