The Butterflies explored hatching sea monkeys. 

To start off they prepped the small tank for the sea monkeys. 

Following instructions to add water and the chemicals needed for the sea monkeys to thrive. 

They carefully added the eggs to the tank.

Making predictions about what might happen.

They observed the eggs over a period of a week, waiting for them to hatch.

Watching with their eyes and getting support by looking through magnifying glasses. 

To magnify and see the eggs up close. 

Once the sea monkeys hatched the children observed them swimming in the tank. 

To get a closer look Chelsea supported the children to look through different types of microscopes to see the sea monkeys up close. 

They talked about what they could see and the shape of the sea monkey. 

It was exciting to use this new type of technology.
