This week the Grasshoppers took part in Risky play, using Glue guns for the first time.
The children went outside to look for natural materials to create their own collages.
We found various sized sticks and pebbles.
The children completed a risk assessment beforehand and understood the importance of being careful due to the hot glue.
The Grasshoppers made arrangements with their materials whilst creating and designing an image on card.
Some children decided to create self-portraits, other ideas included a princess, a sun and a flower.
The Grasshoppers then independently used a Glue gun to stick their materials down.
We also used pens to add to the designs such as facial features on the self-portraits.
The Grasshoppers showed high levels of concentration throughout and were very pleased with their creations.
