The Ladybirds explored fruit juicing.
They used a variety of citrus fruits and explored the smell and texture using their senses.
They manipulated the fruit by placing it over the fruit juicer and pressing down to create a pot of juice.
Each time the fruit was juiced the children used hand-eye co-ordination to pour the juice into cups for tasting.
They worked together to fill the cup to the top and mathematical language was introduced as they used words such as 'full' and 'empty'.
The children commented on the various colours of the juice as it changed from grapefruit, lemon, limes and oranges.
