Exploring Soap
The Butterflies explored soap in a range of ways. They used the grater to grate the soap into pieces. Carefully using the tool to create shaved soap which was added to bowls of water. The children explored the technique of running the soap up and down on the grater, learning how to manage the risk and use the grater safely. The children used a variety of different types of whisks to mix the shaved soap into the water. Practicing the mechanisms of the whisks and exploring if they whisked faster more bubbles appeared.
