Exploring Shadows
The Ladybirds have been exploring shadows as part of our light and dark curriculum theme. The children looked at their shadows on the large screen as the projector shone behind them. The children were curious about their shadows moving their bodies from side to side and up and down and noticing how their shadows moved and changed. Some children noticed f they moved really close the shadows got smaller. The team introduced animals to the activities and the children explored the animal shadows moving them towards and away from the screen and light to change the size and shape of the shadow.
