The Ladybirds went on a trip to the duck pond to observe and feed the ducks.
They had a picnic whilst watching the ducks.
They read a variety of duck books and sung familiar duck songs.
Everyone practised quacking and counting the ducks.
The children showed joy and wonder in watching the ducks swim and waddle around.
On return to nursery the children looked at the images of the ducks they saw.
They used mark making tools to create their own versions of ducks on paper.
the children held the pencils in palmer and pincer grips.
They also gave meaning to the marks they made.
It was lots of fun!
