Cooking with Iris - Making Gnocchi
The Butterflies supported Iris with the lunch by helping her make the gnocchi. The children followed simple instructions to add ingredients to the bowl and create the dough. The children used a variety of different kitchen utensils and equipment to help make the gnocchi including potato peelers, mashers, spoons and whisks. The children developed life skills they will sue later in life as they explored using these tools for a purpose. The children were proud of their achievement once the gnocchi had been cooked and eaten.
