Clay Pumpkins
The Butterflies took part in a creative activity to make pumpkin clay decorations for our Halloween party. The children used physical skill and gross motor skills to add water to the clay and attempt to roll the clay into pumpkin shapes. The children used both hands to roll and rub the clay, adding water to soften and shape the clay effectively. The children talked about the shape of the pumpkin and compared it to the shapes they made. Once the clay had dried the children used paint to paint the clay into their interpretation of a pumpkin.
