Clay Modelling
The Grasshoppers explored air drying modelling clay. They used their hands with water to dampen the clay and model the clay into various shapes. The texture of the clay was manipulated and the children flattened it, pushed and pulled it, modelled it into tubes and balls. Tools were added and children were able to manipulate the tools for their chosen effect including the use of rolling pins and sculpting knives. A range if different textures were added to the sculptures including herbs, dried flowers and much more.
