The Grasshoppers drew inspiration from the real Christmas tree and designed their own with paint on paper.
Children mixed the green paint with various other colours such as white, yellow and brown to change the paint colour to the exact shade they wanted.
Small paintbrushes were held with tripod, pincer and palmer grasps to create their own interpretations of the tree.
Children felt the branches of the tree and gave meaning to their paintings by explaining where the branches were on the tree.
Various other colours were added to add baubles and decorations to the tree.
Each painting was the children's own work and they were very excited to put these on display.
