The children have been taking part in some cooking to celebrate Chinese New Year.
They took part in a risk assessment for using the wok.
They talked about how to manage the risk of burning themselves.
A list was made such as being careful, not touching the pan or hob and no running close to the cooking table.
Everyone practised cutting the vegetables.
The children used knives safely.
As the vegetables were chopped the produce was added to the wok to make a stir fry.
Spring rolls were also made.
The Ladybirds cut up vegetables to add to the spring roll.
The pastry was rolled and the children used fine and gross motor skills to manipulate it around the vegetables.
Chinese New Year was very tasty!
