Butterfly Sponge Painting
The Butterflies explored a new way of making marks. The children used their scissor skills to snip at sponges creating their own interpretation of butterfly wings. The children showed increasing control over the scissors and were able to make snips in the soft sponge. Georgia helped the children to attach pegs using pincer grasps and fine motor skills to make the butterflies. The children explored large scale floor level sponge painting experimenting with blocks, colours and marks and they explored their expressive art and design development.
