The Ladybirds celebrated International Bumble Bee day with a range of exciting bumble bee themed activities including painting, messy play and physical finger gym play. The children explored rice messy play where they explored the texture of the yellow rice using their hands. Rubbing the rice on the bottom of the tray and making marks with hands as well as also grasping brushes and making marks with the brush to reveal the bumble bee. Children also explored the pasta sensory finger gym, where children used hand eye co-ordination and physical skill to poke pieces of spaghetti through the colander using high levels of concentration and perseverance. Lastly children painted their own interpretations of a bumble bee. making marks with paint brushes on paper and exploring their own creative process.
