We were fortunate to have a visit from a local bee keeper.
He told us all about the bees that he keeps.
he has over 1 million bees in various hives!
He talked to the children about what his role entails.
He wore his protective uniform and the children had the opportunity to try it on.
They wore the face shield and spoke about how it protected the bee keepers from being stung by bees.
He talked about the honey making process.
He talked about the bees role in the process and his role as the bee keeper.
The children had the opportunity to view and look at a real honeycomb.
The bee keeper sold us some honey jars which the children used to sell on a stall in the evening to our families.
The honey is to cook with and create something special.
We cannot wait to see what you come up with on the Eylog.
