Beach Scene
The Ladybirds children have been enjoying talking about the beach after a few children have been on holiday and visited beaches around the country so the team designed a beach scene for the children complete with sand, water, buckets, spades and various items that might be found at the beach. The children excitedly explored the beach, walking bare foot in the sand and exploring the sensory experience with their feet. Filling and emptying buckets with sand and water and using spades to fill the buckets. The children drew on their real life experience of visiting the beach and used key vocabulary to discuss the experience.
