This week, the Grasshoppers celebrated Baba Marta, a traditional Bulgarian festival that marks the arrival of spring and the rejuvenation of nature after a long winter. Each child crafted their own Martenitsa, a bracelet made from red and white threads, by intertwining the strands. The Grasshopper's concentrated intensely as they intwined their threads to make their bracelets. Following this, they listened to a story about Baba Marta and discovered the custom of wearing the Martenitsa.
