On Friday the children explored the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur. The children in the toddler room took part in a lovely cooking activity with our chef Sharon. They made some pastry parcels this was linked to how during Yom Kippur prayers are sent up to ask for forgiveness and repentance. The toddlers were able to reflect on things that they are thankful for and things they like and dislike as a link to this while making their pastries. Well done toddlers your pastries looked delicious.
In the pre school room the children watched a short clip to see how Yom Kippur is celebrated. The children were then able to gather their thoughts and create their own pictures for their families to show how thankful they are. Great job pre-school was wonderful to see us all reflecting.
