‘Wibble Wobble’

This week in baby room we continued to explore our senses with some edible play. We explored different colours and flavours of Jelly.  Some of the babies were unsure at first but once they watched their friends take part, they all became very keen to explore too.  We added a variety of shapes and different items to the jelly whilst it was setting, this gave the babies the opportunity to search for the items and then use them to further explore the jelly. The babies were then given a variety of different spoons and scoops to pick up and transport the jelly into the different trays to explore the colours and the change in texture as the jelly went from solid to liquid.  Whilst exploring we focused on key words such as colours and textures and sung along to ‘jelly on a plate’ as we played.
