What the Ladybird Heard

This week the preschool room focused on the What the Ladybird Heard story and enjoyed linking a variety of experiences and activities to the children’s current interest.

The children used their creative skills to make their own ladybirds using their mark making tool with more control to create the ladybird spots and details.

The children then linked with mathematics and numbers by counting the spots on their ladybird’s and matched to the numeral cards.

The children thoroughly enjoy the key links to the familiar and extended a story reading session to the garden where they discussed key characters and re-enacted the story and familiar rhymes.
