Welcome to our show!

This week in preschool, the children learnt about the theatre. The children have always loved role playing and playing with the puppets, so we have decided to make our own! They started by making their own sock puppets and stick puppets. The children used their fine motor skills to cut and glue lots of different resources onto their puppets. The children loved creating their own characters, with one child smiling and saying “look at my one, it’s got so many eyes!” We then moved on to creating our theatre stage! Preschool decided that they wanted to paint their theatre blue. They added lots of decorations to their theatre, with one child using their writing skills to create the sign and attaching it on the top! We then added curtains to our theatre and it was ready for our first show! The children each took it in turns and in pairs to put on their shows! There were shows about wolves blowing down houses and ones about aliens! One child said “I love our theatre!” Well done Preschool, all your puppets look fantastic!
